Difference analysis

Use the Difference Analysis window to select any 2 columns in a plan and display them side by side, along with a 3rd column showing the difference between the selected columns for each row in the plan.
To open this window, select
View
, then Difference Analysis

In a TCJA Comparison Plan, the Difference Analysis column displays by default. Select
View
, then Difference Analysis
to hide this column.Fields & buttons
Column 1
Select the 1st column to compare by selecting the needed alternative and year from the dropdowns for these fields.
Column 2
Select the 2nd column to compare by selecting the needed alternative and year from the dropdowns for these fields.
Amount / Percent
Select the
Amount
or Percent
option to view the change in values by their amount or percentage.When you select the
Amount
option, the difference column is calculated as: Difference = (column 2 - column 1)When you select the
Percent
option, the difference column is calculated as: Difference = [(column 2 - column 1) / absolute value of column 1] x 100
