Format paragraph borders in a client letter

You can use the
Lines
screen to format paragraph borders in a client letter. You can apply borders to the top, bottom, left, and right sides of a paragraph, as well as modify the border style, line width, and line color.
To open this screen, select
Format
Borders
from either the
Custom Letter
or
Template Letter
window.

Fields on the screen

Style group box

Dotted
Mark this checkbox to apply a dotted border.
Double
Mark this checkbox to apply a double border.
Width
Enter the width you want the border line, or use the arrows to select a width.
Space
Enter the amount of space you want between the paragraph and the border, or use the arrows to select an amount.
Lines
Select a color from the drop-down list to apply to the background of the paragraph.

Borders group box

Top border
Select this to apply a border to the top of the paragraph.

You can select the
Border
icon to change the color of the border line.
Bottom border
Select this to apply a border to the border of the paragraph.
note
You can select the
Border
icon to change the color of the border line.
Left border
Select this to apply a border to the left side of the paragraph.
note
You can select the
Border
icon to change the color of the border line.
Right border
Select this to apply a border to the right side of the paragraph.

You can select the
Border
icon to change the color of the border line.
All
Mark this checkbox to apply all borders (bottom, top, left, and right) to the paragraph.
note
If you want to remove 1 of the borders, select the border to remove it.
Draw Box
Mark this checkbox to apply all borders (bottom, top, left, and right) to the paragraph, forming a "box" around the paragraph.
note
You can't remove any of the borders if you mark this checkbox, although you can change the color of the border line.
After you've made your choices, select
Update
to apply the border settings to the paragraph.
