Use Checkpoint's Form/Line Finder research

Planner CS integrates Form/Line Finder research from Checkpoint for 1040 Individual forms, which you can access while a plan is open in Planner CS.

You'll need to subscribe to Checkpoint and have a connection to the internet in order to use this feature.
  1. Select
    File
    Open
    to open an existing plan, or select
    File
    New
    to create a new plan.
  2. In the federal module, select the tab you want to find research information for. For example, to research capital gains and losses, select
    Income
    then select the
    Cap Gain/Loss
    tab.
  3. Select
    View
    Web Research
    Checkpoint
    or right-select and select
    Checkpoint
    from the context menu.

    If you haven't signed into Checkpoint through Planner CS before, the
    Checkpoint
    screen will open for you to enter your user name and password.
  4. Select
    Research
    .
  5. Checkpoint opens in a browser window, and the research topic will open if Checkpoint provides a topic for the specific tab you selected.
