What's new
2027 federal tax brackets, standard deduction, and phase-out amounts
This release of Planner CS includes annual cost-of-living increases for federal statutory amounts for tax year 2027, including the 2027 tax rate brackets, standard deduction, AMT exemption amounts, and various phase-out levels.
Premium Tax Credit
The Federal Poverty Line Calculation has been updated for plan year 2027.
Form 2210 underpayment penalty
The federal module is updated to include a 7% interest rate for tax underpayments for the fourth quarter of 2026.

Windows 10 support ending
In October 2025, Microsoft ended support for Windows 10. Because Thomson Reuters cannot support customers using our applications on unsupported operating systems, Planner CS will no longer be supported on Windows 10 as of October 14, 2025. We strongly recommend that you upgrade your workstations to a supported operating system soon.
Planner CS update releases
You can update 2025 Planner CS via CS Connect™ through October 2026. If you have an active internet connection, the Notices section of the Planner CS Home Page alerts you when an update is available. To download and apply updates, choose File > CS Connect, mark the Retrieve available updates checkbox, and click the Call Now button.
