Use Dynamic Search

Dynamic Search is triggered when you use plain language to search. It matches your search phrase to questions from a bank of thousands of frequently asked questions, and gives you answers from our attorney-editors, search results selected by artificial intelligence, and regular search results.
  1. On the
    Practical Law
    homepage
    , use the
    Search bar
     to enter your search in plain language to trigger Dynamic Search.
    As you enter a question in plain language, the
    Search bar
     opens a drop-down list of suggested questions that closely match yours.

In each suggested question, the word 'home' is highlighted.
  2. Select one of the suggested questions to run your search.
On the Dynamic Search Results page, you’ll find:
  • An Editor’s Summary and a link to the full resource, if attorney-editors have provided one for the topic
  • Dynamic Search's artificial intelligence results, if it has found information in resources that may answer your search question
  • Regular search results
