Disconnect Stripe account from Thomson Reuters

If you disconnect your Stripe account, Thomson Reuters won't be able to access it through Practice CS anymore. You'd usually do this if your firm doesn't want to use Practice CS for payments or if you're switching to another Stripe account.

Disconnecting and reconnecting your Stripe account is strongly discouraged unless absolutely necessary. If you reconnect — whether with the same or a different account — Practice CS will create new customer records in Stripe, resulting in duplicated customer lists. Additionally, payment methods for clients who weren't part of the original migration will need to be re-entered manually.
Do the following to disconnect your Stripe account:
  1. Call support at 1-800-968-0600.
  2. Request for your Stripe account to be disconnected from Practice CS.
  • Your account will be disconnected in the next 24 hours.
  • Thomson Reuters will no longer have access to your Stripe account.
  • Your client payment data remains intact within Stripe and is not deleted.
  • Practice CS will no longer be able to process payments until a Stripe account is reconnected.
