Edit multiple invoices

You can edit multiple invoices at the same time using the
Edit Selected Invoice
window. You can modify information on the invoices, or set invoice dates before printing.
If your firm uses the approval process for billing, you can open the
Edit Selected Invoice
window from the
Review
tab of the
Billing
screen. If your firm doesn't use the approval process, you can also open this window from the
Print Invoices & Statements
screen or the Prior Invoices portlet on the Client Dashboard.

Billing screen

  1. Select
    Actions
    , then
    Billing
    .
  2. Select the
    Review
    tab. If necessary, clear the
    Unposted only
    checkbox.
  3. Select the checkbox for each invoice to edit.
  4. Right-click and choose
    Edit Selected
    .
  5. From the dropdown list in the 1st field on the
    Edit Selected Invoice
    window, select the item to modify (Date, Due Date, Notes, Office, or Reference).
  6. In the 2nd field, enter the new value for that item.
  7. When you have finished all edits, select
    OK
    to close the
    Edit Selected Invoice
    window, then select
    Yes
    to confirm.

Print Invoices & Statements screen

  1. Select
    File
    , then
    Print Invoices & Statements
    .
  2. On the
    Invoices
    tab, mark the checkbox for each invoice to change.
  3. Right-click and choose
    Edit Selected
    from the context menu.
  4. From the dropdown list in the 1st field on the
    Edit Selected Invoice
    window, select the item to modify (Date, Due Date, Notes, Office, or Reference).
  5. In the 2nd field, enter the new value for that item.
  6. When you have finished all edits, select
    OK
    to close the
    Edit Selected Invoice
    window, then select
    Yes
    to confirm.

Prior Invoices portlet

  1. Select Two people to open the Client Dashboard.
  2. If necessary, choose
    Selected Portlets
    and add the Prior Invoices portlet to the dashboard.
  3. In the Prior Invoices portlet, select one or more invoices to edit. Press Shift or Ctrl to make multiple selections.
  4. Right-click and choose
    Edit Selected
    from the context menu.
  5. From the dropdown list in the 1st field on the
    Edit Selected Invoice
    window, select the item to modify (Date, Due Date, Notes, Office, or Reference).
  6. In the 2nd field, enter the new value for that item.
  7. When you have finished all edits, select
    OK
    to close the
    Edit Selected Invoice
    window, then select
    Yes
    to confirm.
