The electronic signature isn't considered a legally binding signature for documents such as contracts or tax returns. It is an acknowledgment that the recipient received the file, similar to an email read receipt. Any additional legal status would be the result of an agreement between the sender and recipient.
Go to
Files
, then
Send Files to Contact
.
Enter the contact information and any comments.
Select
Add Files
and choose the files you're sending.
Select
Signature Required
.
When your recipient opens the file, they can choose
Sign
or
Reject
. This updates the portlet and sends a notification to the sender.
Select for a file transfer record to check the signature status.
