Add a phone call for a contact

Log a phone call with a contact to keep a complete record of all phone interactions in the contact's interaction history.
Use the
Phone Call
feature to log calls with your contacts. Your logged calls appear in the contact's interaction history alongside any phone messages, giving you a complete record of all phone interactions.

This screen is available only if you are licensed for the Client Management module.
To add a phone call for a contact, follow these steps.
  1. Select the
    Add
    button in the toolbar.
    • If the
      Phone Call
      icon appears on the button, select the button.
    • If another icon appears on the button, select the arrow, then
      Phone Call
      from the menu.
  2. In the
    Phone Call
    window, select the contact in the
    With Contact
    field and company in the
    Of
    field. If a contact is selected in the application when you select
    Add
    , this information fills in automatically.
  3. In the
    Importance
    field, select
    High
    ,
    Low
    , or
    Normal
    .
  4. In the
    Call type
    field, select the type of call.
  5. Enter a subject for the phone call in the
    Subject
    field. There is a maximum of 50 characters for this field.
  6. Enter text in the
    Phone Call
    field.
  7. If necessary, add the contact’s phone number in the field provided, and choose the type of number (for example,
    Business
    ). This information fills in automatically if a contact is selected in application when you select
    Add
    .
  8. When finished, select
    OK
    to save the note and close the
    Phone Call
    window.

To schedule a future phone call, select the
Schedule Call
button at the end of the
Phone Call
window. This feature is available if your firm is licensed for the Staff Management module.
