Rename a custom report or invoice format

When working with a custom format in Practice CS, you may have created a copy of the invoice, statement, report, or label/letter and would like to give the new format a more meaningful name that better describes the format.
Follow these steps to rename a custom format in the Custom Format Editor:
  1. Double-click the format you want to rename. The format opens in the format layout editor.
  2. Select Invoice Format Wizard on the toolbar. Edit the description for the copied format on the main tab. Enter a new format name at
    Enter a description for this format

    You can't rename a standard report. If you want to modify a standard report, it's recommended that you first make a copy of the report: right-click on the report and select
    Copy Format
    . This will add
    Copy of <Report name>
    to the list of formats. Open the copy and make your changes. Save the changes, then open the Format Wizard and change the name of the copy.
