Error: Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request

Scenario

You may get the following error message when you open Practice CS
Error message
Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client.

Cause

  • You have the 64-bit version of Outlook 2010 or Outlook 2013 installed.
  • Another Outlook window may be open, which can cause a second error that says 
    Outlook has been disabled
    .

Solution

Uninstall the 64-bit version of Microsoft Office and install the 32-bit version.
note
Due to known compatibility issues that Microsoft has recognized when communicating with many 32-bit programs, CS Professional Suite applications (such as Practice CS) do not support integration with 64-bit versions of Microsoft Office. A 32-bit version of Microsoft Office is required to avoid this and similar integration issues with Practice CS.
