Problem installing Practice CS shared files

When installing a Practice CS CD update, after the
Shared Files
(step 1) are installed, the verification that the
Shared Files
were installed says
No
and the installation stops.
The feedback will be similar to:
To resolve this issue, uninstall the
Shared Files
and restart the Practice CS Installation:
  1. Open the
    Control Panel
    in Windows.
  2. Select
    Add or Remove Programs
    .
  3. Select
    Practice CS Shared Files
    .
  4. Select
    Remove
    .
  5. Restart the Practice CS installation.
