window provides a quick way to edit information for multiple staff members at a time, or to copy staff information from 1 staff member to 1 or more others.
To open the
Edit Multiple Staff
window, select
Setup
,
Staff
, and then select
Edit multiple Staff
at the bottom of the screen.
Selecting the staff members to edit
Open the
Edit Multiple Staff
window.
Select an option in the 1st screen of the window, depending on which information you want to change, and select
Next
.
In the left pane, select the staff members whose records you want to change and then
Select
.
note
To select multiple staff, hold down the Ctrl key as you make your selections.
Use the
Search
field to locate specific staff members in the list.
Use the
Filter
field to narrow down the list of staff. To display the filter field, select the
Show filter
button.
When finished with your staff selections, select
Next
.
Staff edit options
Follow the appropriate set of instructions following for the option you selected in the 1st screen of the window.
Changing staff information
In the
Edit Selected Staff
window, select the field that you want to change from the 1st dropdown list.
From the second dropdown list, enter or select the new value for the field.
Select
Add Row
button to change additional fields.
When finished selecting fields and new values, select
Finish
.
Select
Yes
to confirm the changes.
Changing staff benefits
note
This option is available only if you are licensed for the Staff Management module.
In the
Edit Multiple Staff
window, select the benefits for which you would like to change information. To select multiple benefits from the list, hold down the Ctrl key as you make your selections.
Select
Next
. Note that the title of the window changes to
Edit Staff Benefits
.
From the dropdown list, select the fields to update, and enter the new value. If you select
Active
from the list, mark the checkbox to make the selected benefits active.

Select
Add Row
button to update additional fields.
To remove a selected benefit from the list at the bottom of the screen, right-click and select
Remove Selected Entries
.
Select
Finish
.
Copying staff rates
note
This procedure lets you copy the billing rates used for 1 staff member to the records of 1 or more other staff members.
In the
Edit Multiple Staff
window, select the staff member from the
Staff
dropdown list whose rates you want to copy to the other staff members’ records.
From the
Effective Date
dropdown list, select the effective date for the set of rates you want to copy. For example, if you want to copy the rates from when the staff member was hired, select the hire date or earliest date. You can verify the rates to be copied in the grid below the fields.
Select
Finish
.
Adding security groups

The
Add Security Groups
option is available only if you have enabled firm security (
Setup
Firm
Preferences
).
From the
Description
column, select the security groups to add to the selected staff.
note
If a selected staff member already has security groups assigned, the security groups will be replaced by the ones you select here.
Select
Finish
.
Copying staff targets
note
This option is available only if you are licensed for the Staff Management module.
In the
Edit Multiple Staff
window, select a staff member from the
Copy targets from
dropdown list. This is the staff member whose targets will be copied to the selected staff.
In the grid at the bottom, select the rows for the targets to copy.
note
To copy multiple targets, use Shift or Ctrl while making your selections.
Select
Finish
.
Adding staff skills

This option is available only if you are licensed for the Staff Management module.
In the
Edit Multiple Staff
window, select a skill area and a skill rating for each staff member you selected.
