Set up offices

You can set up individual records for each of your firm’s offices, and use these records for filtering and reporting purposes.
To set up offices, follow these steps.
  1. Select
    Setup
    , then
    Offices
    .
  2. Select
    Add
    at the end of the
    Offices
    screen.
  3. Enter a short
    ID
    identifier and a
    Description
    on the
    Main
    tab.

    Mark the
    This is the home Office
    checkbox if this is your firm's home office. Only 1 office can be designated as the home office. The home office shares Contact Info with the
    Firm setup
    screen.
  4. Select the
    Contact Info
    tab, then enter the primary contact's name, title, company, salutation, and filing name.

    File as
    is required.
  5. Enter address and phone information.
    note
    • To change the labels for the address or phone numbers, select the down arrow next to the number or address.
    • Type directly in the
      City
      ,
      County
      ,
      Country
      , and
      Zip
      or select from the dropdown list. These are custom
      fieldviews
      . To add a new item, enter the item and press CTRL+S while the cursor is in the field. You can also right-click the field and select
      Add
      ,
      Edit
      , or
      Delete
      from the context menu.
  6. Select
    More
    next to the following:
    1. Categories
      field to add this contact to a category. In the Categories window, select the categories in the side pane and
      Select
      to move them to the others pane. Select
      OK
      when finished.
    2. Additional contacts
      field to add more contacts for this office. The
      Additional Contacts
      window opens. The process is similar to adding the primary contact.
    3. Associations
      field to associate other contacts with this office.
  7. Select the
    Custom Fields
    tab and enter information if your firm uses custom fields for office information.
  8. Select
    Enter
    at the end of the
    Offices
    screen to save your changes.
