Set up client entity groupings

For a summary of groupings and strategies for implementing them, refer to the Set up groupings.
Use this grouping to distinguish the entities of clients serviced by your firm. Examples might include Individual, S Corporation, C Corporation, Partnership, Fiduciary, and Exempt Organization.
When you add items in this screen, they appear in the
Entity
field on the
Main
tab of the
Clients setup
screen.

The
Client Entities
screen is a user-defined terminology screen. Your firm may refer to it by a different name. You can view the default names for user-defined items by selecting
Help
Enable Default Terminology
(or by pressing CTRL+Shift+H).
To add a new client entity grouping:
  1. Select
    Setup
    Groupings
    Clients
    Entities
    .
  2. Select
    Add
    .
  3. Enter an
    ID
    for the department.
  4. Enter a
    Description
    for the department.
  5. Select
    Enter
    to save your changes.

You can also add, edit, or delete groupings by right-clicking in a field tied to a list of groupings.
