Practice CS toolbar

The toolbar has buttons to help you get to various screens and dashboards, and perform common tasks. You can point to a button to show its description.

Back
Returns to the previous screen you viewed. This button is not available until you go away from the screen that displays when you open the application.
Forward button
Forward
Goes forward to a previously viewed screen. This button is active only when you use the Back button to go back to a previously viewed screen.
Refresh button

Refreshes the current screen, including data.

  • To sync data sharing, set up file locations in the application.
  • Outlook contact synchronization is available only if your firm is licensed for the Client Management module and if you have set up synchronization with Outlook.
Update Remote Entry Firm button
Update Remote Entry Firm
Updates your existing remote entry firm.
note
  • Before you update your remote entry firm, check that you've transmitted all entries. The update process removes all existing data from the remote entry firm.
  • This button displays on the toolbar only if you've created a remote entry firm.
CS Connect button
CS connect
Opens CS Connect.
FileCabinet CS button
FileCabinet
Opens FileCabinet CS.

This button displays on the toolbar only if your firm is licensed for FileCabinet CS.
Add button
Add
This button is available if you're licensed for the Project Management, Client Management, or Staff Management modules.
The dropdown list includes the following items
  • Project Management
  • Client Management
  • Staff Management
You can use any of the 3 modules to add Outlook Email, Outlook Appointment, and Outlook Task items.
Select the button to add a new interaction of the same type as the last interaction you added.

The icon on the
Add
button changes to match the type of interaction you last entered. The example is for a Note interaction. If you select the button when the Note icon is shown, Practice CS opens the
Note
window.
Search button
Search
You can use the
Search
field and button to search Help topics.
Help button
Help
Find Help topics related to the current screen.
