Staff Active Timers portlet

The
Staff Active Timers
portlet is available on the
Firm Dashboard
.
This portlet shows all active running timers (Desktop Timers and timers in Time & Expense Entry). If you're a staff member with the security permissions needed, you can stop a timer from this portlet. Right-click the timer and select
Stop Timer
from the context menu. You'll need permission to enter time and expenses for yourself and for other staff, and permission to edit prior period entries (if the timer running is in a prior period).
You can select a staff filter from the dropdown list to narrow down the list of timers displayed in the portlet. To show the
Filter
field, select
Show portlet options
Show portlet options button with 2 white down arrows, or right-click and select
Show Options
from the context menu.

When you enable security rights for a portlet on the
Security Groups setup
screen, Practice CS may also enable rights to view the data available in the portlet. Removing rights for viewing data may also remove rights for related portlets. Refer to the
Privileges changed
pane on the
Security Groups setup
screen to review the user right changes made by enabling access to a portlet.
For this portlet, if no rights are already enabled for the following security option, full rights will be enabled:

Review
.
If your firm has multiple offices, you may want to remove user rights to information for other offices.
