Print to a DYMO label printer
To print to a DYMO printer, create a new label based on an existing one in Practice CS that's closest in size to the one to print. Then follow these steps to set up your label format.
- SelectSetup, thenCustom Formats.
- Right-click and selectAdd Label/Letter.
- In the Label/Letter Format Wizard, select a standard label to use for your custom label.
- Enter a description for your format.
- Select the label type from the dropdown.
- SelectFinish.
- In the formatting grid, select and drag the printable area so that it's within the actual width of the label, including the margins.
- Select theDetailrow of the Custom Formats screen.
- In the Properties pane, change theColumnCountfield to1.
- SelectFilethenPage Setupto open the Report Settings window.
- Set the margins for the label.
- Select the Printer Settings icon.
- In thePaper Sizefield, selectCustom paperfrom the dropdown.
- Select theLandscapeoption forOrientation.
- Set theWidthandHeightfields to the correct dimensions.
- SelectOK.
- Select
from the Custom Formats toolbar. note- If you see a red line on the right side of the preview, or if there's a blank preview between each label, the label isn't the correct size in relation to your page settings. Change the printable area, width and height, or margin settings until you no longer see the red line or blank labels in the preview.
