Accounts Receivable Applications report
The Accounts Receivable Applications report shows debits and credits applied to invoices and when the applications happened.
View and print the report
- SelectFile,Print Reports,Accounts Receivable Applicationsin the available reports pane, thenSelect.
- On theLayouttab, choose one of the following from theApplied todropdown list:
- Debit items
- Credit items

- You can view the report from both a debit (invoices, service charges, debit memos) and a credit (cash, check, credit memos, write-offs) perspective. The default for the report isDebit items.
- You can select an item to open more details. For example:
- Select an invoice in the report preview, and you'll open theSummarytab in Detail Billing.
- Select a receipt or write-off, and you'll open either theReceipts or the Adjustmentstab in theReceipt & and Adjustment Entryscreen.
Included in the report
- ID, Name/Description:ID and the names of the items you have selected for grouping the report.
- Type:Type of Accounts Receivable (A/R) entry (invoice, service charge, receipt, debit memo, credit memo, write-off).noteThis report doesn’t includeNon-sufficient FundsorCredit Card Returnsas the primary debit or credit.
- Date:The date of the A/R application.
- Reference:Check the number or other reference information entered inReceipt & Adjustment Entry.
- Debit:Amount for A/R entries of type invoice, service charge, or debit memo
- Credit:Amount for A/R entries of type receipt, credit memo, and write-off
- Applied:
- InDebitview, this column shows how much from theCreditcolumn has been applied to theDebitcolumn for an item on the report.
- InCreditview, this column shows how much from theDebitcolumn has been applied to theCreditcolumn for the item.
- Open:The open amount of theApplied toitem. For example, when inDebitview, this is the open amount of the invoice. When inCreditview, this is the open amount of the receipt.
Security permissions for reports
When you enable security permissions for a report on the
Security Groups setup
screen, Practice CS may also give access to view the data available on the report. Also, when you remove the permission for viewing data, Practice CS may also remove access to related reports. Go to the
Privileges changed
pane on the Security Groups setup screen
to check which permission changes Practice CS has made after you enable access to a report.For this report, if you've not enabled permissions for the
Menu, Setup Menu, Clients, View
security option, Practice CS will enable full access to it.If your firm has multiple offices, you may want to remove permissions to information for other offices.
