Print report

  1. Select
    File
    , then
    Print Reports
    .
  2. Select the reports and profiles you want to print, then
    Select
    .
    note
    • You can double-click reports and profiles to add or remove them from the Selected Reports list.
    • To reorder the Selected Reports list, drag a report or profile to reorder it.
    • If you get an SQL Server error with several invalid column name messages when you print a report, press and hold the
      Shift
      key to select reports to clear any applied filters.
  3. Use the Report Options
    Selection
    and
    Layout
    tabs to customize the report’s output.
  4. Select
    Preview Selected
    if you want to preview the reports before printing.
    note
    You can also use
    Print Selected
    on the
    Print Reports
    screen. However, when you print from the
    Print Reports
    screen, the page range options are not available.
  5. In the
    Report Viewer
    , select
    File
    , then
    Print
    .
  6. Choose one or more of the following outputs:
    • Output to printer
      : To send the report to the default printer for your workstation. To print to another printer, use the dropdown list.
    • Output to FileCabinet CS
      : Practice CS will send each report to FileCabinet CS as 1 item with the same name as the report. You'll also need to choose whether the reports should go to a client’s drawer or a staff member’s drawer.
    • Output to GoFileRoom
      : Before you print to GoFileRoom, you'll need to map your GoFileRoom Indexes to the fields in Practice CS. You'll also need to select a file format (PDF, RTF, TXT, or XLS) from the dropdown list.
    • Output to file:
      Print the report to a file (such a PDF, HTML, RTF, TXT, TIF, or XLS) in your selected folder.
    • Output to e-mail:
      Print the report as a file type, then send it by email. Enter
      Recipients
      separated by a semicolon or use the address book to add them.
      note
      • Practice CS prints reports to a single Excel worksheet.
      • If you print from a report preview, the Excel file will contain links, headers, and footers from the page breaks Practice CS generates for the previewed report.
      • If you selected
        Print Selected
        without previewing the report, there will only be a single header and footer, and no links.
  7. Select
    OK
    to print.
  8. Select
    Back
    to leave report preview.
