Timesheet Exception report

Use the Timesheet Exception report to verify that staff are meeting their scheduled work hours. With this report you can get a list of staff who has worked less than a specified number of hours or target hours for a date range.
note
You'll need to be licensed for the Staff Management module to check worked against target hours.

Included in the report

The Timesheet Exception report shows a list of staff and their total hours for the time period. Time is shown on the report as follows:
  • Billable
  • Non-billable
  • Administrative
  • Total Time
  • Comp Time
  • Net Time: Total time + comp time
note
  • The Comp Time and Net Time columns are available only if you are licensed for the Staff Management module.
  • Total Time is the sum of billable, non-billable, and administrative hours on the report.
  • In the Comp column:
    • Negative amounts represent comp time hours entered, and are subtracted from the total time to equal the net time.
    • Positive amounts in the Comp column represent the comp time used, and are added to the total time to equal the net time. 
  • Expenses are excluded from this report.

Security permissions for reports

When you enable security permissions for a report on the
Security Groups setup
screen, Practice CS may also give access to view the data available on the report. Also, when you remove the permission to view data, Practice CS may also remove access to related reports.
Go to the
Privileges changed
pane on the
Security Groups setup screen
to check which permission changes Practice CS has made after you enable access to a report.
For this report, if you've not enabled permissions for the
Menu, Setup Menu, Clients, View
security option, Practice CS will enable full access to it.
If your firm has multiple offices, you may want to remove permissions to information for other offices.
