Use security groups to give staff access to reports
To print a report in Practice CS, you'll need to have security access to it. By default, Practice CS turns off access to reports for new security groups. If a report is missing from your list of reports, verify your firm’s security set up.
- Go toSetup, thenStaff.
- Find the staff member, then select theSecuritytab.
- Make a note of the staff member's security groups.
- SelectSetup, thenSecurity Groups.
- Find the 1st security group you noted in step 3 and selectEdit.
- On thePrivilege Selectionpanel, selectPractice CS,Menu,File Menu, thenPrint Reportsto see the categories of reports.
- Select each category to expand it.
- Mark the checkbox for the report.noteWhen you mark the checkbox, Practice CS may also mark other checkboxes if these are needed for the staff member to access the report.
- If the staff member belongs to more than 1 security group, you'll need to repeat steps 5 to 8 for each group.noteThe staff member will need to re-open Practice CS for the changes to take effect.
