Assign staff to schedule items

In Practice CS, schedule items are anything that can be scheduled for and assigned to a staff member. These include:
  • Scheduled phone calls
  • Scheduled benefits
  • Meetings
  • To-do items
  • Projects
  • Tasks

The names of schedule items are custom terminology variables that your firm can rename in the
Terminology
tab of the
Firm
screen.
Scheduled phone calls, benefits, meetings, and to-do items are available only if your firm is licensed for the
Staff Management
module. Projects and tasks are available only if you are licensed for the
Project Management
module.
Use the
Assigned Staff
window to assign a staff member to the selected schedule item.
To access the
Assigned Staff
window, select
More
Ellipse next to the
Staff
field when adding or modifying a project, task, scheduled phone call, meeting, to-do item, project template, task template, or CPE course.
Complete the scheduling process by completing these steps in the
Assigned Staff
window.
  1. Select one or more staff members to assign to the item. To select multiple staff members, press SHIFT or CTRL while selecting.
    note
    Some schedule items can only be assigned to 1 staff member.
  2. Use the
    Select
    button to move the selected staff members to the right pane of the window.
  3. Select
    OK
    to complete the assignment and close the
    Assigned Staff
    window.
You can use the search and filtering features to narrow the list of staff. If you want to assign all of the staff members that are shown in the left pane, use the
Select All
button.
