Edit multiple time and expense entries
Follow these steps to change multiple time and expense entries.
note
- If your firm uses the approval and posting process, staff members with security privileges to approve and post time and expense entries can edit entries without reversing the approval and posting of those entries.
- If you have security privileges to do so, you can also use this procedure to edit prior-period entries. SelectData,Time & Expense Data, thenEdit Prior Period Entriesto show privileges for this task on theSecurity Groupssetup screen.
- Select the entries you want to edit.
- In theOverviewtab of theTime & Expense Entryscreen, useShiftand your mouse to select consecutive entries. For non-consecutive entries, useCtrland select each entry individually.
- If your firm uses the approval and posting process, you can select entries on theReviewtab of theTime & Expense Entryscreen. Select
for each relevant item, then select the individual entries that you want to edit.
- Right-click the selected entries and selectEdit Selected Time & Expense Entries.noteEdit Selected Time & Expense Entriesis available only for entries that can be edited.
- If you have security privileges to edit WIP amounts, the 1st row of theEdit Selected Time & Expense Entrieswindow is used to change amounts on entries, if necessary. If you don't have these security privileges, skip to step 4. Use the dropdown to select the change you want to make to the amounts of the selected transactions (if any). Choices include:
- Recalculate, keep overrides: (Default) Recalculates the selected entries based on the new criteria, but retains entries that you manually override.
- Recalculate: Recalculates the selected entries based on the new criteria.
- Use this amount: Manually overrides the amount of WIP being transferred to the amount you have specified. You will be prompted to enter an amount.
- Do not recalculate: Retains the original amount of the WIP entries being transferred, regardless of any other changes.
noteIf you want to edit additional fields, select
to add another row to the window. Otherwise, skip to step 6. - In the 1st dropdown, select the field you want to change.

- At the prompt, selectYesto verify.
