Client Experience: Document Request List

Use the secure email link to authenticate, upload requested documents, manage files, and submit them to your tax preparer from almost any device.
Your firm will provide an access link via email that you can use to upload documents that have been requested from your tax preparer. The document transfer is fully encrypted and safe to use. All messages come from noreply@safesendreturns.com.

Documents can be uploaded using a laptop, desktop, tablet, or mobile device.
The Client Portal is not currently compatible with tablets or mobile devices.
  1. Select
    Upload File(s)
    to open the file request, or
  2. Select
    Access Client Portal
    .
  3. Enter your email address.
  4. Select
    Verify
    .
  5. Complete your authentication.
    • If you received an
      Access Code
      , check your email for the code.
    • If you received a
      Q&A question
      , then answer the question provided by your CPA.
  6. Select
    Authenticate
    .
  7. Review and close the
    Message
    from your tax preparer.
  8. Select
    Upload
    for each document listed.
    • This option remains available so that multiple documents can be added per request.
  9. Select
    Delete All
    to delete all uploaded documents for each item.
  10. Select
    +
    to show all the documents uploaded for each request.
    • This will let you delete a specific document under the request.
  11. Select
    Submit Request
    once all documents have been uploaded.
    • If some documents are missing, the pop-up warns you that not all documents are uploaded and you won’t be able to make any further changes once you select finish.

    Finish

If you would like the option to upload more documents later, simply close out of your browser tab. You can use the same access link to re-authenticate and finish uploading documents.
