Windows Defender™ safe links whitelist

Windows Defender has a feature called Safe Links. When turned on, it quarantines and scans any link received to protect the user. This modifies the access link address, which prevents the client from accessing the return.
The client should add an exclusion for our URL to their Safe Links rewrite policy. To do so, they need to log into their Safe Links policy center: https://security.microsoft.com/.
From here, they’ll need to create a custom Safe Links policy to allow our URLs through their threat protection unedited. The steps are outlined as follows:

Creating a custom Safe Links policy in the Security & Compliance Center creates the safe links rule and the associated safe links policy at the same time using the same name for both.
  1. Go to
    Email & Collaboration
    Rules
    Threat policies
    Safe Links
     in the
    Security & Compliance Center
    .
  2. Select
    Create
     on the
    Safe Links
     page.
  3. The
    New Safe Links policy
     wizard opens.
  4. Configure the following settings on the
    Name your policy
     page:
    • Name
      : Enter a unique, descriptive name for the policy.
    • Description
      : Enter an optional description for the policy.
  5. Select
    Next
    .
  6. Configure the following settings on the
    Settings
     page:
    • Do not rewrite the following URLs
      : Gain access to the specified URLs that would otherwise be blocked by Safe Links.
      • Enter the URL or value that you want to add.
        • Add
          *.safesendreturns.com/*
          . The asterisks act as wildcards.
      • Select
        [ + ]
        .
Once completed, links can pass through Safe Links unedited, letting the client select the link directly for all links delivered through SafeSend.
