Delivered extensions: Bulk action icons
You can manage 1 or more delivered extensions at the same time with the Bulk Action icons in the Extensions Report and Archived Extensions sections. Review each available Bulk Action icon and the steps to use them.

The following section outlines all Bulk Action icons in the Extensions Report and Archived Extensions sections, including when and how to use them.
These reporting sections display all extensions that the firm has delivered to the client.

New extensions are processed and managed in the Tax Returns dashboard.
The Extensions Report is only used to manage extensions delivered before January 24, 2026.

You can edit 1 or more extensions at the same time using
Bulk Action Icons
. Mark the Select All
checkbox to select all extensions displayed on that page. To select all extensions, click here
in the yellow information field. Set access
You can restrict access on any extension to the users of your choice.
- Mark the checkbox for the taxpayer's name.
- SelectSet Access.
- Drag and dropAvailable UsersorAvailable User Groupsto theUsers with Access RightsorUser Groups with Access Rightssections.
- SelectSaveto confirm any changes.
Change status
You can change the status of an extension by using the
Change Status
button. You change any of the statuses except Signed, Uploaded
and Signed, and E-Signed.
- Mark the checkbox for the taxpayer's name.
- SelectChange Status.
- Select the dropdown to change the status. The following scenarios can occur:
- Awaiting E-SigntoManually Signed.
- Manually SignedtoAwaiting E-SignorAwaiting Upload.
- Awaiting UploadtoManually Signed.
- You can't change extensions with the following statuses:E-signed,Signed And E-Signed, orUploaded.
- SelectSaveto update the status.
Change custom column
You can change the value of the custom column for reporting and tracking. Administrators can add custom columns at .
- Mark the checkbox for the taxpayer's name.
- SelectChange <Column Name>.
- Select the dropdown to choose from all currently added values.
- SelectSaveto update the column value.
Send a reminder
Send Reminder Now
- Mark the checkbox for the taxpayer's name.
- SelectSend Reminder.
- Go to theSend Reminder Nowtab.
- Mark theSend Signing Remindercheckbox.
- SelectSend.
Scheduled Automated Reminder
note
When you select the
Automated Reminder
button, it displays your firm's default settings. It doesn’t display the current settings for that extension. To view the current settings for a specific extension, use the Action
Menu. - Mark the checkbox for the taxpayer's name.
- SelectSend Reminder.
- Go to theScheduled Automated Remindertab.
- Select theSend Voucher Reminder beforedropdown to choose how many days before the due date the reminder will be delivered.
- Use theSend Signing Reminder beforedropdown to choose how many days after the initial delivery or most recent reminder email SafeSend sends the next reminder.
- Select the switch for theVoucher or Signing reminderdropdown to turn reminders on or off.
- SelectSaveto apply any changes made.
Archive
You can move completed extensions to help keep your
Delivered Extensions
report more organized (recommended).- Mark the checkbox for the taxpayer's name.
- SelectArchive.
- SelectConfirmto move the extension to theArchive Extensionssection.
You can restore a document from the
Archive Extensions
section if necessary.- Go to theArchived Extensionssection.
- Mark the checkbox for the taxpayer's name.
- SelectRestore.
- SelectConfirmto move the extension back to theDelivered Extensionssection.
Download e-file forms
You can download completed e-file forms. The files are downloaded into a ZIP file. Depending on your
My Settings
selections, the documents will either be downloaded to your PC or to the My Downloads
folder.- Mark the checkbox for the taxpayer's name.
- SelectDownload e-file Forms.
Select the
Downloaded
status in the Downloaded
column in the Delivered Extensions
report to see who in your firm downloaded the form and when.note
You can only download extensions with a status of E-signed or Uploaded.
Delete and restore
When an extension is deleted it is placed into the
Recycle Bin
, where it can either be restored or permanently deleted. Permanent deletion is not recommended.Delete
- Mark the checkbox for the taxpayer's name.
- Select theDeletebutton.
- SelectConfirmto delete the extensions.
Restore
- Go to theRecycle Bin.
- Mark the checkbox for the taxpayer's name.
- Select theRestorebutton.
- SelectConfirmto restore the extensions.
The extension is moved back to the
Delivered Extensions
section.
