Mailbox

Learn how the Mailbox stores, organizes, and manages secure messages in Inbox, Drafts, Sent, and Spam folders.
The Mailbox works like a standard email service mailbox. You can view sent and received messages, download documents, and manage message activity. Items remain in these folders until they are deleted or expire.

Inbox

Documents and messages sent through your drop-off link appear in the
Inbox
or
Spam
folder. In the
Inbox
, you can open messages, review replies and forwards, download files, and take action on selected items.
After you select a message, you can perform several actions:
  • Delete the message. Deleted messages can't be restored.
  • Move the message to a different folder.
  • Search the
    Inbox
by file name, email, or subject.
  • Sort messages alphabetically or by date received.
  • Download individual attachments or download all attached documents as a ZIP file.
  • Print the body of the message to PDF.
  • Send a
    Quick Reply
    to the sender.
  • Reply, reply to all, or forward the message.
note
Quick replies don’t require recipient authentication and can't include attachments.

Drafts

The
Drafts
folder stores messages that have been saved but not yet sent. This lets you return to a message later and continue editing it.
For more information, refer to Composing a New Secure Message.

Sent

The
Sent
folder stores messages that have already been delivered to recipients. In addition to standard message management, this folder includes options to resend an access link or cancel a transfer.
Common actions in the
Sent
folder include:
  • Delete sent messages.
  • Resend the access link to the recipient.
  • Cancel a transfer to invalidate access to the link and its files.
Canceling a transfer completely removes access to the transfer or file from the system.

Spam

The
Spam
folder stores messages identified as spam. Messages need to be moved from
Spam
to the
Inbox
before the document downloads and other features can be used.
You can also mark a sender as not spam to an allowlist that sender for future messages.
