Set up and manage ERO signature stamps for e-file forms, including automatic placement, delegation, and partner signature settings.

The
Signature Stamps
feature lets users place an image of the ERO's signature on e-file authorization forms.
Users can place signature stamps manually when processing a return, or configure them to apply automatically.
note
  • Many tax application programs automatically place signature stamps on exported returns. If your tax application uses this feature, don’t turn on Signature Stamps in Returns.
  • When
    Signature Stamps
is turned on, at least 1 ERO signature is required to deliver a return. If no signature stamp is applied, users will receive an error.
  • The system substitutes the company name on e-file forms if the selected ERO/Signer hasn't:
    • Uploaded a signature stamp.
    • Set their signature to apply automatically.
