User group definitions

Review default SafeSend user groups and their permissions, or create custom groups in User Management.

Standard user groups are included in SafeSend by default. You can create custom user groups with specific permissions in the
User Management
 section.
Staff
  • Can upload, process, and deliver returns if firm settings allow.
    note
    Go to
    Settings
    General
    Delivery Options
     to let the staff user group deliver tax returns.
  • Can access returns they have permission to view post-delivery.
  • Has access to Signatures, Exchange, Extensions, Organizers, and Gather.
System Admin
  • Can upload, process, and deliver returns.
  • Can access all returns post-delivery except those assigned to Office Locations they don’t have access to.
  • Has access to Account Management and Settings.
  • Has access to Signatures, Exchange, Extensions, Organizers, and Gather.
  • Can use a username/password even if
    Single Sign On
     is enabled.
Exchange
  • Can access Exchange.
  • Can access documents they have permission to view.
Partner
  • Can upload, process, and deliver returns.
  • Can access returns they have permission to view post-delivery.
  • Will appear in the ERO/Signer dropdown when uploading returns.
  • Can upload an ERO signature stamp and let other users use it.
  • Has access to Signatures, Exchange, Extensions, Organizers, and Gather.
Signatures
  • Can access Signatures.
  • Can be added as a sender when delivering documents in Signatures.
  • Can access documents they have permission to view.
ERO - Only
  • Can't access the Suite.
  • Can be assigned as ERO for a return, extension, or organizer.
  • Can have a signature stamp associated with their profile.
  • Can be a contact person for a return, extension, or organizer.
  • No other groups can be applied alongside this one.
Letter Builder - Admin
  • Provides low to high-level permissions for Signatures.
  • Can access Delivered & Archived reporting for Signatures.
  • Can send a new template for a signature.
Letter Builder - Compliance
  • Can access
    Settings
     and the
    Recycle Bin
     for
    Letter Builder
    .
  • Can create new templates for Letter Builder.
  • Can't send templates for signature.
TTC - Manager
  • Can access the TicTie Calculate
    Online Account
     dashboard.
  • Can use the TicTie Calculate Adobe plugin.
TTC - User
  • Can't access the TicTie Calculate
    Online Account
     dashboard.
  • Can use the TicTie Calculate Adobe plugin.
Gather
  • Can upload, process, and deliver Gather requests.
  • Can access Gather requests post-delivery that they have permission to view.
  • Has access to all actions for In-Process and Delivered Gather requests.
  • No access to Gather settings unless they are also a System Admin.
