Learn the purpose of the
Action Menu
in the
Delivered Returns
report and how to use it. This reporting section displays all returns that have been delivered to the client but haven’t been archived.
Upload forms
This option lets you upload signed documents that were received outside of Returns.
note
This option is only available for returns in a
Manually Signed
status.

Download e-file forms
This option lets you download signed e-file forms.

This option is only available for returns in an

    to download a ZIP file containing all signed documents.
Unlock return
Taxpayers can become locked out of their tax return by entering an incorrect/expired access code OR an incorrect Social Security number.

This option is only available for locked returns.

    to let the client to attempt authentication again.
    • The
      Unlock Return/Client Portal
      option is only available if the return or Client Portal is locked.
    • Only 1 return in a Group needs to be unlocked to unlock the controller access link.
Resend access link
This option lets you send the access link to the taxpayer again, or copy their access link.

This option is only available for returns in an
E-Signed
,
Uploaded
, or
Manually Signed
status.

Client view
This option shows an example of the client's view in a new browser tab. If turned on, you can also

    • A new tab opens to a static view of the return.

Change status
This option lets you change the status of a return.

You change returns in any status except
Signed, Uploaded

Signed, and E-Signed

Recall return
This option lets you move a return back to the
Send Tax Returns
section so the return can be re-processed or re-uploaded.

Send reminder
This option lets you send a reminder to sign immediately or edit the automated reminder settings for a specific return. Select

to show the current reminder settings for that return.

Upload estimates
This option lets you upload new or updated estimated vouchers to the return.

  3. Client Id, Tax Year, Taxpayer/Spouse Name, and Taxpayer/Spouse Email are automatically pulled from the previously delivered return. This can't be edited in this window.

    dropdown to select how SafeSend will apply the due date for each voucher.
  5. Drag and Drop

    the new/updated estimated vouchers.

View access code
This option lets you view or generate an access code for the taxpayer.
note
The code isn't automatically sent to the taxpayer, so it needs to be provided by an alternative method. The code expires after 20 minutes, after it is used, or after a new code is generated. Don't provide or generate a new code until the client selects

Retention policy
If your company settings let, you can alter the retention period for a specific return.

    to mark the return as an attest return (if applicable).

Report a problem
This option lets you send a report from a specific return to our Support team. This provides them with additional return details that may be useful for troubleshooting.

Release e-file
The GoSystem® e-file integration lets you e-file tax returns directly from SafeSend Returns. This streamlines the e-file process.

Download returns
This option lets you download the tax return and all other associated documents.

Screen share
The screen-share function offers an option to work with clients remotely by viewing their screen in real time.

    note
    The client is prompted to select the screen they want to share. Once they do this, you can view their screen.
Archive return
This option lets you move the return from the
Delivered Returns
section to the
Archive
section. Moved returns can be restored to the Delivered section. Clients can still access archived returns and still receive signing/voucher reminders for archived returns.

Delete return
This option lets you move the return from the
Delivered Returns
section to the
Recycle Bin
section. Deleted returns can be restored or permanently deleted. Permanent deletion is not recommended.

Send to GoFileRoom
The GoFileRoom integration lets users map SafeSend Returns e-signed documents to specific drawers and indexes. Send files directly to GoFileRoom from the Delivered Returns report.
