Screen share: CPA experience
Screen sharing lets you work with clients remotely.
Setup
For security purposes, some firms want to control access to screen sharing with clients. System administrators can update this in
Settings
.Turn the screen share on or off
- Go toSettings.
- SelectSecurity.
- TurnEnable Screen Shareon or off for all people at the firm.
- SelectApplyto save any changes.
Initiate the screen share

The client needs to open their tax return before starting the screen share. After that, the client selects
Share
. If they don't, an error message appears saying, “This link is invalid.”- Go toDelivered Returns.
- Select theAction(...)menu for the client's return.
- SelectScreen Share.
- Select a return recipient.
- Provide theCodeto the client.
- SelectShareafter making sure the client entered the code and selectedShare.noteThe client is prompted to select the screen they want to share. Once they do this, you can view their screen.
A new browser tab opens with a blank screen, which shows the client's screen once they're connected. If the tax professional closes or refreshes the tab, the link isn't available and the session ends.
When the client is finished, they can close the browser window or select
Stop Sharing
