Additional e-sign documents

Upload documents that require signatures but weren't included with the tax return, such as engagement letters or consent forms.

Add documents

  1. Select
    Start Upload
    .
  2. Drag the file to the upload area, or select
    Choose File
    to search for a file.
  3. Select the
    Document Type
    .
  4. Select
    Submit
    to complete the upload.

Edit documents

  1. Select
    Edit Documents
    .
  2. To change the document type, select a new
    Document Type
    from the dropdown.
  3. Select 1 of the following:
    • Save
      : saves the updated document type.
    • Delete
      : removes the document from the tab.
    • Cancel
      : reverts any unsaved changes.

E-signatures

Add e-sign blocks to documents in this section to specify where signers must sign.
  1. Select the taxpayer or spouse from the
    Recipient
    dropdown.

    This option is only available for 1040 returns. Signature blocks associated with the selected signer display with a gray-shaded border.
  2. Drag and drop a
    Signature Block
    onto the selected page. The block is assigned to the selected recipient. The following signature block types are available:
    • Signature
    • Date Signed
    • Name & Title
    • Initials
    • Company
    • Text
    • Checkbox
    • Radio Button
  3. To delete a signature block, select the
    X
    in the corner of the block.

ERO signature stamp

  1. Select an
    ERO
    stamp to apply to the document.
  2. Drag and drop an
    ERO Signature Stamp
    onto the selected page.
  3. Drag and drop an
    ERO Date Signed Field
    onto the selected page.
  4. To delete a stamp or field, select the
    X
    in the corner of the block.
