Bookmarking options
The Bookmarking tool lets you create a complete index of your source documents for your work papers.

The following applies to TicTie Calculate version 5.x and 6.x. Refer to the Check your version of TicTie Calculate article for more information.
Bookmark options
- SelectBookmarksto expand the bookmark options.
- SelectUse Bookmark Templateto open theAdd Bookmarkswindow.
- SelectExpand all BookmarksorCollapse all Bookmarksfor existing bookmarks in the PDF.
- SelectBookmark Inserted Pagesto manage page insertions and their related bookmarks.

The other 1040 templates are designed to work with OCR technology from various tax software providers and scan programs (GruntWorx, Lacerte, and ProSystem). These templates are provided by the respective service providers, and we're not responsible for their accuracy or ease of use.
- SelectBookmarksto expand the bookmark options.
- SelectUse Bookmark Templateto open theAdd Bookmarkswindow.
- Resize the window to make it larger or move this window around the screen or to another monitor for ease of use.
- SelectToggle Bookmark Paneto hide or display the bookmark pane in Adobe Acrobat®.
- SelectDelete Bookmarkto remove a bookmark.
- SelectDelete associated pagesto delete pages as well.
- SelectConfirmto delete.
- SelectDelete All Bookmarksto remove all the bookmarks in the PDF file (recommended).
- SelectYesto verify.
- Select theZoomdropdown to select the default zoom level for the bookmark being placed.
- SelectCreate Templateto create a custom bookmark template.
- Select theBookmark Templatedropdown to select which template to use.
- SelectApplyto apply the template and begin bookmarking.
Applying bookmarks
Once a template is applied, the bookmark tree structure displays in the template window.

- You only need to bookmark the 1st page of any multi‐page document.
- If you use separator pages and you want to include them in PDF, be sure to include a<description>for each so the repagination works correctly.
- Repagination should only be performed once.
- Multiple edits and repagination events can cause the pages to be out of order.
- Select the arrow icon to expand a section.
- Select the branch you want to begin on.
- Use the up and down arrow keys to go through the tree structure.
- Use the right and left arrow keys to expand and retract the categories.
- Select a<description>field to add a custom child bookmark (optional).
- Enter the bookmark name into theBookmark Textfield.
- SelectSet Bookmarkto assign the highlighted bookmark to the page displayed in Adobe Acrobat.
- After a bookmark is set, you're automatically moved to the next page of the PDF.
- Continue progressing through the source documents to bookmark the remaining pages.
- SelectCloseonce all bookmarks have been placed.
- SelectRepaginateto re-order the pages of the PDF to match the applied bookmarks.
