GoFileRoom integration troubleshooting

If a document fails to upload to GoFileRoom, this generally indicates a mapping issue in your Product Settings, or a mismatch between the GoFileRoom and SafeSend client records.

When a file transfer fails, GoFileRoom sends an email notification to the user who initiated the transfer.

Mapping
You must map any indexes marked as
Required Fields
in GoFileRoom in SafeSend. You can leave all other
GoFileRoom Indexes
in SafeSend blank.
An asterisk in GoFileRoom indicates a required field. In the example below, Client Name, Client Number, File Section, Document Type, and Document Date are required and must be mapped in SafeSend.
When you need to enter additional information, such as Document Type and File Section, the text in GoFileRoom must exactly match the text you enter in SafeSend. This is case sensitive, for example: E-FILE AUTHORIZATION.
Select the
File Section
drop-down in GoFileRoom to view the options available to your firm.
To view your
Document Types
, fill in the File Section field first, then select the
Document Type
drop-down.
For the examples above, the mapping in SafeSend should look like the image below. All required fields are filled, and all text entered in the File Section and Document Type fields exactly matches GoFileRoom.
Client records
The Client Name and Client ID in SafeSend must exactly match the Client Name and Client Number in GoFileRoom. This is a current system limitation that the team is investigating. We hope to remove the Client Name restriction in the future.

  • The
    Taxpayer Name
    field in SafeSend must exactly match the
    Client Name
    in GoFileRoom.
  • The
    Client ID
    in SafeSend must exactly match the
    Client Number
    in GoFileRoom.
  • SafeSend formats the taxpayer name as
    First Name Last Name
    ; GoFileRoom must use the same format.
  • Do not include the spouse's name in the GoFileRoom
    Client Name
    field.

Entity returns
  • The
    Name
    field in SafeSend must exactly match the

    in GoFileRoom.
  • The
    Client ID
    in SafeSend must exactly match the
