K-1 recipient experience

The partner or shareholder can access their K-1 packages in a few different ways.
Show all hidden content.
The taxpayer receives an email notification if the K-1 recipient declines to consent to receive the documents electronically.
The recipient can access the K-1 package and profile section as long as the main return is valid. If the main return is deleted or recalled, the K-1 links are invalid.
Initial email
The partner or shareholder receives a link via email to access the K-1 package. The email comes from noreply@safesendreturns.com.
  1. Select
    Access Tax
    .
  2. Select
    Send Code
    .
  3. Copy the code that is sent to the email or retrieve the code sent via text message.
  4. Enter the code in the field.
  5. Select
    Confirm
    .
K-1 Consent
K-1 Consent screen displays after the recipient has entered an access code.
  • Select
    I Agree
     to continue and download the documents.
  • Select
    I Decline
     to be directed back to the Request Access Code page.
    • If the decline option is selected, the recipient can authenticate again to select I Agree at any time.
K-1 Download
  1. Select the download icon to download the K-1 Package.
  2. Select the download icon to download the Instructions document.
Profile Update
  1. Select the
    Company Name
     in the corner.
  2. Select
    My Account.
  3. Edit information as needed.
  4. Select
    Save
     to save any edits made.
