A SMART Practice Aids engagement will lock when you're working in it and unlock when you close it. If the engagement remains locked after you've closed it, you can manually unlock it. Before you do this, make sure no one else is working in the engagement.
On your computer, browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\PPC\Tools\SPADMV.
In the SPADMV directory, find
SPADmv.exe
. Double-click and Run the file to open the tool.
Under Database Server, use the drop-down to select
local
(even though it may already set to local).
Under Client, select the appropriate client name and under
Engagement
select the Engagement that's locked.
Once you've selected the ‘locked’ engagement, check both the Lock Data and Session Data tabs. If you don’t see anything the engagement shouldn't be locked.
