Manually update your account number

To update your Checkpoint account number, you'll need to manually edit the AccountNum.xml file.
Make sure you have the following:
  • Administrative access to your computer.
  • The correct Checkpoint ID number.
Do the following to manually update your Checkpoint account number in the PPC Web Multi-Select Installer configuration file:
  1. Open
    File Explorer
    .
  2. Go to the following location:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\PPC\PPCWebMultiSelectInstaller
  3. Find the file named
    AccountNum.xml
    .
  4. Drag the file to your desktop to edit it safely.
  5. Right-select the file on your desktop.
  6. Select
    Edit
    .
    The file will open in a text editor.
  7. Enter the correct
    Checkpoint ID
    .
  8. Select
    Save
    then close the editor.
  9. Drag the
    AccountNum.xml
    file back to the original location:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\PPC\PPCWebMultiSelectInstaller
  10. Confirm the prompts to replace the existing file.
  11. Find the
    PPCWebMultiSelect
    in the installer folder.
  12. Right select the file and select
    Run as Administrator
    .
  13. Verify that the updated account number shows in the installer.
Upon successful completion, your updated Checkpoint account number will show in the PPC Web Multi-Select Installer interface.
