Step 3 – Generate and File SMART workpapers in the associated Workpapers CS binder

When you have completed the steps in the SMART Practice Aids process, you are ready to create SMART Docs (Diagnostic Report, Practice Aid planning forms, and engagement programs) and file them in the associated Workpapers CS engagement binder.

Your SMART engagement must be linked to Workpapers CS engagement binder before generating and filing the documents.

Create and File SMART Docs in the associated Workpapers CS binder

  1. Click
    Create SMART Docs
     in the
    Tools
     menu from SMART Practice Aids. This will launch
    Create SMART Docs
     dialog box. In the dialog, select the workpapers you want to create and send to your Workpapers CS binder.
  2. Click
    Create
    . This will generate the selected SMART workpapers and display the following message on the screen.
  3. Click
    Close
     to upload the generated SMART workpapers to the associated Workpaper CS engagement binder. The
    Upload Status
     will be displayed in the
    Add Workpapers CS Documents
     window.
  4. The generated SMART workpapers are shown in the
    Engagement Binders Tree
     window of Workpapers CS.
  5. If necessary, you can drag and drop generated workpapers to the appropriate engagement folders within Workpapers CS.

Selecting to
Open
 a SMART workpaper launches the workpaper within SMART. Any changes made to the workpaper in SMART will automatically be updated in the associated Workpapers CS engagement binder.
