Generate Planning Forms and Audit Programs
The final step in the risk assessment process is to generate the engagement's planning forms and audit programs.
When you click
Generation
on the Navigation
pane drop-down list, SMART Practice Aids automatically runs a Diagnostics Report to alert you to inconsistencies or other conditions that you should consider before generating your planning forms and audit programs. Complete the necessary information and then click Next
on the Diagnostics Report
to go to the Planning Forms window where you can generate planning forms. You can also access the document forms directly from the
Generate Documents
section in the Navigation
pane as described in the following procedures. To generate planning forms:
- In theNavigationpane, selectGenerationfrom the drop-down list.
- ExpandGenerate Documentsand clickPlanning Forms.The Generate Planning Forms gen_audit_programs_window.dita window appears.
- Select the check box for each planning form you want to generate.
- ClickCreate Practice Aidsto generate fully functional Practice Aid versions of the selected planning forms.TheCreate Practice Aidswindow appears.
- Either type in the directory path or use theBrowsebutton to locate the folder where you want to save the planning forms.noteIf you have set a default directory usingTools>Options>File Locations, that directory will be selected as the default location when you generate and save your Practice aids. You can override the default location by designating a different directory in theBrowse for Folderwindow.
- ClickOKto generate and save the files.Once generated, the planning forms in Practice Aids format can be opened using Microsoft® Word.
- ClickNextto go to the Generate Audit Programs window.
To generate audit programs:
- In theNavigationpane, selectGenerationfrom the drop-down list.
- ExpandGenerate Documentsand clickAudit Programs.The Generate Audit Programs window appears.
- Select the check box for each audit program you want to generate.
- ClickCreate Practice Aidsto generate fully functional Practice Aid versions of the selected audit programs.TheCreate Practice Aidswindow appears.
- Either type in the directory path or use theBrowsebutton to locate the folder where you want to save the audit programs.noteIf you have set a default directory usingTools>Options>File Locations, that directory will be selected as the default location when you generate and save your Practice aids. You can override the default location by designating a different directory in theBrowse for Folderwindow.
- ClickOKto generate and save the files.Once generated, the audit programs in Practice Aids format can be opened using Microsoft® Word.noteFor older titles, the Planning Form, Audit Report, and Diagnostics Report generation functionality is accessed from Step 4 in theNavigationpane.
To use the print preview feature:
- Click the print preview icon
next to the form you want to preview.The print preview opens in thePreviewwindow. - Scroll through the preview document to review how it will print.
- When you are ready to close the document, click theXin the upper right corner.
To use the preview right-click feature:
Once you open a document or form in preview mode (see the previous procedure), you can right-click anywhere in the document to bring up a shortcut menu. This menu has options that let you print the previewed document, add to favorites, create a shortcut, and export to Microsoft Excel.
