Access SMART Practice Aids reference links

You can find links to PPC reference materials in SMART Practice Aids documents, including planning forms and engagement programs. You'll need to have a valid Reference Library or Checkpoint subscription to open the reference material.
The first time you select one of these links, you'll need to choose where you want the content to come from:
  • If you choose Reference Library, you'll receive an "Unlicensed Resource" message until you enter your master password.
  • If you choose RIA Checkpoint, you'll need to enter your Checkpoint user ID and password on the Checkpoint login screen.
  • If you choose None, the content links selected in your documents will not link to reference materials.
To set your master password and access the content:
  1. In Reference Library, select
    Edit
    , then
    Security Settings
    .
  2. Type a valid master password.
    If you do not know the master password, contact PPC Technical Support at 1-800-431-9025.
  3. Select
    OK
     to close the window.
  4. Return to the Tools document, then select the link to access the referenced content.
    Access to older versions of Reference Library content is not available through Virtual Office CS. You must access older content from your local machine.

Change reference material location

To change the location from where your reference materials are retrieved:
  • Select
    Options
     from the SMART Practice Aids
    Tools
     menu, then select
    Set Location
    .
  • Or, when in a Microsoft Word or Excel document, you can select
    Content Settings
     from the
    PPC
     menu.
