Content update

This update confirms that the Thailand Corporate Template includes Illustrative Model Content covering legislative requirements for annual year end reporting.

Legislative updates

The amendments to accounting standards which are effective for annual periods beginning on or after 1 January 2026.
  • Lack of exchangeability – Amendments to TAS 21
    • The amendment requires an entity to apply a consistent approach in assessing whether a currency is exchangeable into another currency. When a currency is not exchangeable, the amendment introduces the use of either an observable exchange rate without adjustment or an another estimation technique to determine the spot exchange rate. Furthermore, the entity is required to provide additional disclosures when the spot exchange rate is estimated. In applying the amendments, the entity is not required to restate comparative information.

As of the date this CUD, the following standards and amendments have not yet been issued by the Thai accounting standard committee and remain subject to the applicable due process for issuance. Based on the draft standards published on the Thai Federation of Accounting Professions’ official website, they are tentatively effective for annual periods beginning on and after 1 January 2028.

Early adoption accounting standards

The amendments to accounting standards which are effective for annual periods beginning on or after 1 January 2026.
The previous amendments were announced in 2025, which are effective for annual periods beginning on or after 1 January 2026. Early adoption of the amendments above mentioned is permitted. However, disclosure of the early adoption is required.It’s noted that the current template content for December 2025 financial year assumed no early adoption, thus no impact on the current template content.
Local accounting law changes
Apart from the amendments mentioned above under IFRS legislative change, there are no local accounting law updates for the upcoming December 2026 financial year.
