Overview
This release contains significant legislative updates for the year ended 30 June 2025, corrections, feature enhancements, and XBRL taxonomy changes.
The most notable change is the update to requirements for reporting on the gender composition of management, along with improvements to reporting, tagging, and display conditions throughout the annual report templates.
Key updates are effective for annual periods beginning January 1, 2025. Updates include changes in folder naming conventions, new display logic for management gender composition, removal of negative goodwill from the balance sheet, and an updated XBRL taxonomy for 2024.

Report on the gender composition of management
  • Annual report > Management's review > Financial highlights > Financial ratios
  • The Gender composition of the Board of directors/Supreme governing body for both parent and consolidated has been unticked and had [Pre 2025] added to the folder names.
  • Annual report > Management's review > Financial highlights > Financial ratios – Consolidated & Parent: Gender composition of the top management, Gender composition at other management levels, total number of members at the top level of management and underrepresented gender in percentage (%) from the table
  • In the grid, the total numbers have had [Pre 2025] added to the total numbers row.
  • Requirements to report on the gender composition of management have been abolished cf. § 99 b & § 77 c.
  • Companies that were previously covered by § 99 b will continue to be subject to the disclosure requirements regarding gender composition, etc., in sustainability reporting and possibly the Gender Balance Act. (Effective for financial years starting January 1, 2025.)
  • The law does not repeal the requirements of the Companies law to establish targets and policies for the underrepresented gender.

  • Annual report > Management's review summary report > 5th paragraph: The wording of the paragraph has been updated based on feedback.
  • Grid [FY] Non-Import > Financial Statements > Financial highlights: Profit/loss from ordinary activities has been renamed Profit/loss from operating activities.
  • Annual report > Consolidated financial statements and parent company financial statements > statement of financial position: Prepayments for goods has been moved from Receivables to Inventory.
  • Negative goodwill has been removed from the non-current and current liabilities, and [Pre 2025] added to the names.
  • Reference to negative goodwill has been removed from relevant accounting policy notes.

  • Fair value accounting policy: Reference added for treatment if fair value can't be determined.
  • Notes > Staff costs and incentive plans: A new section related to remuneration has been added and mapped.

  • Annual Report > Independent auditor's report and Extended review: A condition has been added so they display based on the choice made in the Entity > General > XBRL submission information grid.
