Notes unable to extract to Word (RTF)
A few issues have been identified during the extraction of the Notes section into Word (RTF) format:
  1. Extracting the entire Notes section resulted in a blank page.
  2. Extracting a specific note led to an extended right margin and an unexpected section break in resulting Word file.
To address these issues, the following changes have been implemented:
  • XML Adjustments:
Updates have been made to the XML code within the draft to improve page layout, ensuring that the content fits more appropriately within a page and can be extracted more reliably to RTF format.
  • Handling of Long Note Titles:
Titles that are too lengthy – especially those that trigger a “continued” heading on subsequent pages – were found to cause extraction failures due to improper pagination. For example in the Luxembourg template, adjustments have been applied to Note 19 Directors’/ managers’ fees and commitments in respect of retirement pensions for former directors/ managers. To prevent such issues, this section has been constrained to a single page and its header width adjusted at XML-end. Additionally, to avoid the “continued” heading appearing on following pages and causing further pagination errors, a page break has been applied on and after this note.
  • Header Indentation Updates:
The indentation levels of headers in the Notes section have been refined to support cleaner formatting and smoother extraction.

Standard Chart of Accounts - Reference numbers are not flowing correctly in web (push-to-web)
A discrepancy has been identified between the legislative reference numbers displayed in the Standard Chart of Accounts (COA) report across different platforms (web vs app):
  • While the reference numbers appear correctly in the draft (aligned with the publication), different values were being displayed on the web version.
  • This issue was not present in the previous release and appears to have emerged recently.
Resolution:
Upon investigation, it was determined that applying Entity Filter to the affected column resolved the inconsistency. Other filter types were tested but did not produce the desired result. However, assigning either an E1 or E2 entity filter successfully corrected the display of reference numbers in both the illustrative OAP and web versions. This change does not impact the visual presentation of the report tables.
In the current draft model, an E1 filter has been applied, with the E2 table-set in use temporarily. The choice between E1 or E2 may vary depending on the specific client environment.

Standardise Display Settings Before Publishing
As a general rule, all template elements in the financial report should either have display as
Always
or
Never
and only have display as
Conditional
when there is an actual expression in the display condition of the report element itself, or when it is more for users to decide what is relevant for their reporting. This has been applied and aligned throughout all the other countries' templates. Therefore, the following changes have been made to the Luxembourg template.
  • Cover page –
Always (everything under - since these will never change)
  • Contents –
Always (everything under- since these will never change)
  • Primary statements –
Always (for their top-level folders and E1 folder elements, E2 for Conditional)
  • Notes to the financial statements –
Always (on the top-level report elements as it is up to the user to decide which one is most relevant to their scenario)
  • All Footers and Headers under each folder –
    Always

DETAILS AND LIMITATIONS
1
Upgraded OAP file to 6.29.9459 is available in this release pack. However, for users wishing to update to the 6.29 platform, please note that there is a known issue where even when elements are displayed as “Never”, the report will still display the element.
2
Related to the Correction ID: 1985854 – Ensure non-zero values apply to all sections and columns. When there is only one section to sum up as a total in the table, the Total Rows that have been “As Required” or “Non-zero” display will not show up. This is currently a known platform issue, and if users want to display the Total Rows on the above occasion, they need to change its display setting to “Always”.

Number of character limit in grid column heading. The column in the grid only can contain up to 60 words and this is known as a platform limitation. Therefore, for those cut-out texts have been typed in manually at the table end, so that those long columns still can be showing and matching with the publication. The affected areas with the current Note publication are as follows:
  1. 1. Note 4 – Intangible assets → Historical cost model
  2. 2. Note 5 – Tangible assets → Land and buildings” following the historical cost model
  3. 3. Note 15 – Derivative financial instruments → a) Foreign exchange contracts
  4. 4. Note 15 – Derivative financial instruments → b) Interest rate swaps
  5. 5. Note 15 – Derivative financial instruments → c) Option contracts

Please be noted that deleting the original elements (such as paragraphs, tables, and so on) which have been reflected from the parent/root template should be cautious. The same logic applies here for not changing existing column IDs as below. If the original elements have been deleted, we cannot save it back other than re-implementing it with the backup files. It will also lose any updates that will be made to the elements, i.e., the template will not get upgraded and synced perfectly with the latest draft template update, and some functions, such as Revert to Template or Compare with Template, will not be available either – this is because once the original element is deleted, their own IDs become different from the draft/parent template, so they cannot be compared.
Therefore, please keep this in mind, especially when customization needs to be done. Alternatively, if users do not want some part of the original elements, they can create a copy of it and build their customization from there and display the unwanted original element to be Never, instead of deleting it.
2
For users’ further references, please be noted that when you wish to change the naming of columns in grids, it can be done via Column → Rename feature. However, please do not change their existing IDs, otherwise, you will lose your current data and linking to it.
3
Reference to the above feature list “2330216”, please be noted that some of the sub-NLUC folders will be removed in around 2-3 years’ time, e.g., the FY21 sub-folder will be removed when preparing 2023 or 2024 release, and this will be notified in the release note in advance.
4
Export to Excel Function (Please be noted that this has been logged in the last release in version 11 or version 12 of LU.CTY). Also, the following explanation is extracted from the Additional Information section of the version 11 or version 12 Release Note.
Exporting to “Annual Accounts” and “Trial Balance per Entity (Including Account Assignment)” reports to Excel will NOT work unless the change the Currency sign from wording “EUR” to its currency symbol of “€” in the following 3 areas. (Note: “Trial Balance per Entity (Including Account Assignment)” report is newly added in the version 13 release of the LU.CTY
  1. “Currency Symbol” field under ‘Tools’ tab → ‘Number, Date and Culture Format’
  2. “FunctionalCurrency” field under ‘[FY] Reporting | Settings → Text → Variables → General’
  3. “Currency symbol” field under ‘[Annual Accounts]’ report → ‘Report Options’ tab → ‘Edit Report Currency’
Please be noted that this is optional for whoever wants or needs to export the “Annual Accounts” and “Trial Balance per Entity (Including Account Assignment)” reports to Excel, which means that the draft template has kept the original default setting, containing “EUR” wording as a currency sign, and hence, NO changes have made to the above 3 areas.
Coming back to the comment on this Export to Excel for this time release, after making the above change and while exporting the Annual Accounts report, there may be an error sign pop up, saying, “Worksheet Setting error”.
This error has been known and acknowledged by the platform team also. When users encounter this error, they can still click OK to proceed further as it will still produce the Excel report (there can be some headers not appearing correctly). However, according to the platform team, this is how the application has been behaving throughout and it should not be a blocker for releasing the template.
