This release focuses on the legislative content changes and correction updates for the period ending December 2024. The template is available on platform 6.28.9259, 6.29.9459, 6.30.9574, 6.31.9627, and 6.32.9713.

Overview
This template is a major release that includes legislative updates and XBRL improvements. The adjustments to the reports accommodate the different-sized taxonomy references.
In this template, the annual report content contains sample tagging using the groot (large), micro, klein (small), middelgroot (medium), middelgroot-publicatiestukken (medium-sized publication), klein-publicatiestukken (small publication), and micro-publicatiestukken (micro publication) taxonomy references for NT18.
The template directly presents micro, klein (small), and middelgroot (medium) reports. It also supports the micro-publicatiestukken, klein-publicatiestukken, and middelgroot-publicatiestukken references accordingly. For example, when you want to switch from the micro reference to the micro-publicatiestukken reference, you'll need to change the NameSpace and Href values accordingly under the [FY] XBRL tab. Additionally, you'll need to follow the element selection instructions as per the element name.
Platform 6.28.9259 now hosts the version 20 release.

We included the NT18 taxonomy folder in the NL.CT C 20.0 release pack. You can install the following taxonomy references into the application via Manage XBRL Taxonomies from the specified folder path:

Corporate sustainability reporting directive (CSRD)
- The European Parliament approved the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) in November 2022. This directive will require large public-interest entities (PIEs), such as banks, insurers, and listed companies with more than 500 employees, to comply starting with the fiscal years beginning in 2024.

Known issues

  • The illustrative model content in this template doesn’t include all the available concepts in the taxonomies. Therefore, you'll need to create and tag any additional content required to produce a valid XBRL file.
  • The template's illustrative model content provides sample tagging using the groot (large), micro, klein (small), middelgroot (medium), middelgroot-publicatiestukken (medium-sized publication), klein-publicatiestukken (small publication), and micro-publicatiestukken (micro publication) taxonomy references for NT18. To use other or additional taxonomy references, you'll need to revise the existing report elements and possibly personalize them to suit reporting needs.
  • Grid column headings have a character limitation, allowing up to 60 characters only.
  • Platform 6.29.9459 has a known issue where report elements set to
    Never
     still show in the report when you view the parent folder in isolation using Design, Preview, or Edit XBRL mode.
  • During test validation with Digipoort Connection Suite for Filing Rules/Filing Guidelines, we implemented several manual workarounds outside of OAP directly in the XBRL instance document.
    • For FG-NL-05, we removed unused namespace declarations from the XBRL instance document, specifically the attributes:
      • xmlns:xsi=http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance
      • xmlns:fn=href=http://www.w3.org/2005/xpath-functions
      • xmlns:xbrldt=http://xbrl.org/2005/xbrldt, http://xbrl.org/2005/xbrldt
    • For FR-NL-2.03 and FR-KVK-2.01, we added the attribute xml:lang="en" to the opening xbrli:xbrl element in the XBRL instance document to include the language of the report.
    • For FG-NL-04, we rearranged the elements in the XBRL instance document so that referees precede references by cutting and pasting all xbrli:context and xbrli:unit elements from the bottom to the top directly underneath link:schemaRef.

Additional information

Language and tagging
The taxonomy accepts tagged values for several concepts only in Dutch. To address this, the root level of the report element includes a list of variables that translate specific English input words into valid enumeration values in Dutch. When you use the English values for report display purposes, the system ignores them for tagging. You'll use the Dutch translation variables to tag XBRL concepts through underlying XBRL facts in the element XML.
Report presentation and switching references
The template directly presents micro, klein (small), and middelgroot (medium) reports. It supports the corresponding micro-publicatiestukken, klein-publicatiestukken, and middelgroot-publicatiestukken references. To switch from the micro reference to the micro-publicatiestukken reference, you need to update the NameSpace and Href values under the [FY] XBRL tab. Additionally, you should follow the element selection instructions based on the element name.
