Migrate desktop data to the web application

Use this information to assist you in migrating your desktop application data to the ONESOURCE Statutory Reporting web application.

Before starting this process, ensure you're running the latest version of ONESOURCE Statutory Reporting.

Prepare your data

The first task in preparing your data that you'll be migrating is to ensure your entity's based on the latest Thomson Reuters master template.
  1. Download the latest master template.
  2. To add the template to your desktop application go to
    File
    ,
    Check in Data
    .
  3. Ensure the correct templates are selected and then select
    Next
    .
  4. Select
    Update
     to install the latest template. If you receive errors, proceed to the next section.

Correct entity errors

To check for errors in your entity:
  1. In your desktop application, go to
    File
    ,
    Push Entities To Web Manager
    .
  2. Enter your ONESOURCE sign in credentials and then select
    Next
    .
  3. Select your template entity from the list and then select
    Next
    .
  4. Resolve any issues listed in the
    Status Summary
     screen. Repeat these steps until no issues are reported and the
    Status
     column is set to
    Ready
    .
  5. Don't push the template entity to the web at this stage. You must follow additional steps before proceeding. After all issues are corrected, select
    Cancel
     in the
    Status Summary
     screen.
  6. Proceed to publish your current period as a template covered in the next section.

Publish current period as template

To publish the current period as a template:
  1. Go to
    File
    ,
    Template
    , and then
    Publish current period as a template
    .
  2. Open the entity you want to push to the web and add a new financial period. This sets the first financial period for entities using the web application.
  3. Select
    Update
     on the new financial period to update to the latest organization template you published earlier.
  4. Close the entity and then move on to the next section.

Push entity to web

This is the final step in migrating your desktop data to the web application.
note
Run all reports within the entity before pushing the entity to the web.
  1. Go to
    File
    ,
    Push To Web
    .
  2. Enter your ONESOURCE sign in credentials and then select Next.
  3. There shouldn't be any errors as these were cleared in your previous steps, so select
    Push To Web
    .
  4. Select
    OK
     in the confirmation window. The entity's now pushed to the Reporting Entities screen in the web application.

    Only push the template entity to the web after you've pushed all reporting and template entities from that template family.
