E-filing with Companies House

File your iXBRL reports directly with Companies House using U.K. XBRL taxonomies, and track the status of your submissions.
You'll need the
E-Filing with Companies House
permission.
You can file iXBRL reports pointing to U.K. XBRL taxonomies with Companies House.
  1. Select
    Tools
    , then
    E-filing with Companies House
    .
  2. Go to the
    Presenter Setup
    tab.
  3. Enter the required details, then
    Save
    .
    note
    The required information is:
    Presenter ID
    ,
    Authentication Number
    ,
    Email Address
    ,
    Next Submission Number
    , and
    Next Transaction ID
    .
  4. Run the report you want to file.
  5. Select
    Report Options
    , then
    E-filing with Companies House
    .
  6. Enter the required Company Details, then
    Submit
    .
    note
    The required information is:
    Company Name
    ,
    Company Type
    ,
    Company Number
    , and
    Company Authentication Code
    .
    Example:
    • If the company is incorporated in England & Wales, enter
      EW
      in the
      Company Type
      field and enter the company number in the
      Company Number
      field.
    • If the Scottish company number is SC123456, enter
      SC
      in the
      Company Type
      field and enter
      123456
      in the
      Company Number
      field.
    The same rule applies for Northern Ireland.
  7. Select
    Tools
    , then
    E-filing with Companies House
    .
  8. Select the
    Submission History
    tab to view the status of your submission.
    note
    After you enter the
    Presenter Setup
    details for the 1st time or after submitting a report for the 1st time, the
    Submission History
    may take up to 24 hours to show updated details. After this,
    Submission History
    refreshes instantly.
  9. You can select the link in the
    Submission Status
    column to view further details or download the iXBRL output.

    The further details you can view include:
    Submission Number
    ,
    Presenter ID
    ,
    Transaction ID
    ,
    Downloads
    , and
    Error Details
    .
