Compare templates

Use Template Comparison to view differences between versions of a template or financial periods and templates.
  1. Open the financial period you want to view.
  2. Select
    Administration
    , then
    Template Comparison
    .
  3. Choose a Template Comparison option.
    note
    In the following example, you've opened the financial period 31 Dec 2022 for XYZ Limited and get the following Template Comparison options:
    1. Between UK IFRS (v30) and XYZ Limited (2022-12-31)
       — compares the base template and the financial period.
    2. Between XYZ Limited (2022-12-31) and UK IFRS (v31)
      — compares the base template and latest version of the template family available in your tenant.
    3. Between UK IFRS (v30) and UK IFRS (v31)
       — compares the financial period and latest version of the template family available in your tenant.
  4. Select
    Compare
    .
    The application will prepare your comparison data in an Excel file and make this available to you in the
    Download Center
    .
  5. Select
    Administration
    , then
    Download Center
    .
  6. Select
    Download
     from the Status column to download the comparison as an Excel file.
    note
    • The Excel file will have several worksheets containing the differences, including what was added, modified, and deleted.
    • If a new version of the template is available, you can update the template with the changes.
