Unable to open Review Wizard on Web
Depending on your binder's configurated settings, Review Wizard on Web may not be able to open the binder. If this happens review the following instructions to be able to resolve this issue:
Binder does not have the most recent status
When trying to open a parent binder to verify using Review Wizard on Web, users may encounter an error message indicating that the selected binder can't be opened due to an outdated status:
"
The binder does not have the most recent status, it cannot be opened right now. Please click the Refresh button at the bottom-left of the FileRoom page to get the latest updates, then try opening the binder again.
"This error can happen with a parent binder when its child binder's completed verification status is not yet reflected in FileRoom records.
If a user downloads a .pbfx file to open the parent binder, FileRoom uses the parent binder's ID instead of reflecting the child binder's updated verification status. SPBinder then detects that the binder is in verification status and launches Review Wizard on Web with the parent binder ID, creating a new parent binder that overwrites the existing one.
note
This issue is specific to UltraTax binders.

If you encounter this error message when trying to open a client's binder, we recommend the following:
- Close out of the binder in Review Wizard on Web.
- Once the child binder has completed processing in Review Wizard on Web, navigate back to FileRoom and selectRefresh Datato update the records shown.

- The impacted binder will open as expected in Review Wizard.
Engagement contains TIFF documents
When uploading a binder's source documents, we urge users to select PDF documents, as TIFF documents cannot be processed in Review Wizard. Attempting to open Review Wizard on Web for a binder that contains TIFF documents will result in the following message:
"
This engagement contains documents in an unsupported (TIFF) format. Review Wizard web application in compatible with PDF documents only. To ensure a smooth review process, delete the binder and resubmit it again with PDF format files only.
"
If you encounter this error message when trying to open a client's binder, we recommend the following:
- Locate the binder containing TIFF documents in FileRoom.
- Delete the binder.noteIf necessary, download the TIFF documents from the binder before deletion.
- Convert the TIFF documents to PDFs, then resubmit the binder for verification in Review Wizard on Web.
note
We are working toward supporting TIFF documents in Review Wizard on Web.
Engagement contains documents in an unsupported format
When trying to open a binder in Review Wizard on Web, users may encounter an error message indicating that the selected binder can't be opened due to an unsupported PDF format:
"
This engagement contains documents in an unsupported (PDF) format. Review Wizard web application is compatible with PDF documents only. To ensure a smooth review process delete the binder and resubmit it again with PDF format files only.
"
This error can happen when the binder contains a PDF document that may be damaged or have non-standard PDF formatting. We recommend deleting the binder in FileRoom, and resubmitting it with the properly formatted PDF files.
