1040SCANverify Onshore | This service enables you to send tax documents to SurePrep Onshore to process standard source documents, i.e. a list of IRS Forms, brokerage statements, and organizer pages.

1040SCANverify Offshore | When a binder is submitted to SurePrep for 1040SCANverify Offshore, the review option functionality provides you an option either to process the post verification wizards in-house or by SurePrep.

1040SCAN PRO 1040SCAN PRO+ | OCR technology reads and transfers data from source documents to your tax software. You must verify the accuracy of the data read from the source documents before the data is transferred to your tax software. After data has been transferred to tax software, you have the option to create organized bookmarked workpapers for each binder.
1040SCAN PRO+ only: In addition to all the features provided in 1040SCANPRO, 1040SCAN PRO+ also uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to increase verifiers' productivity and accuracy by providing the following additional features:
1040SCAN PRO(+) is an upgrade to 1040SCAN ORGANIZE(+) service. 1040SCAN PRO+ uses OCR and AI/ML technologies to capture the amounts on source documents. However, OCR captured amounts must be verified by a user at your firm. Captures document data and exports it to the tax software. Data must be verified by you. |
1040SCAN ORGANIZE 1040SCAN ORGANIZE+ | OCR technology organizes and bookmarks client source documents into an electronic workpaper file from scanned PDF or TIFF files.
1040SCAN Organize+ only: In addition to all the features provided in 1040SCAN ORGANIZE, ORGANIZE+ also uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to increase verifiers' productivity and accuracy by providing the following additional features:
Upgrade: 1040SCAN ORGANIZE is an upgrade to SPbinder service. Instead of manually organizing documents/workpapers into their respective folders in SPbinder, 1040SCAN ORGANIZE/ORGANIZE+ lets you save time by using OCR technology to match the documents into their respective folders in SPbinder. Does not capture document data or export it to the tax software. |
SPbinder | This service enables you to send source documents to SurePrep where they can be organized into an electronic workpaper file. Does not capture document data or export it to the tax software. |

For 1065, 1120, and 1120S binder types, only Outsource Offshore and SPbinder services are available. The service type selected for a binder is displayed under the Service column in FileRoom. For other tax software, only 1040SCAN ORGANIZE and SPbinder services are available.

What are the differences between PRO vs PRO+ and Organize vs Organize+?
1040SCAN PRO+ and 1040SCAN Organize+ include additional features that utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to increase verifiers' productivity and accuracy.

You can use a combination of plus and non-plus services as long as both services are different.
